Studio and Tuition Policies for Summer 2011 and Fall 2011

Tuition is $85.00 for four 30-minute private lessons per month.
To cancel a lesson you may do any of the following:
1. Text a message to 512-663-5530 a MINIMUM of three hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lesson.
2. Call or leave a voice mail at 512-663-5530 a MINIMUM of three hours in advance to avoid being charged for the lesson.
3. Email 24 hours in advance to keysforkids@mac.com to avoid being charged for the lesson.
One makeup lesson will be offered per month for any missed lessons. If I must cancel with LESS THAN three hours notice, your next lesson is 50% off the regular tuition price.
Students who do not show up for or cancel a scheduled lesson per the above policy will not be offered a make-up lesson. A lesson must be canceled a minimum of three hours in advance to avoid being charged for a lesson.
Students are required to practice a minimum of 60 minutes per week outside of lessons. Two consecutive months of falling short of this goal may result in student dismissal. This is to protect parent investment, student progress, teaching objectives and agreed upon goals.
Summer tuition is $21.25 per 30-minute private lesson or $85.00 for 4 lessons. Parents may pay weekly or monthly. Receipts are emailed in .pdf format.
Students who take the summer off from lessons may not be guaranteed a spot in the fall.
Each student will have a reserved time for their weekly lesson on the teaching schedule.
Lesson start and stop times: Lessons will be scheduled at a set time each week. Regardless of when the lesson begins, each lesson will last its full 30 minutes. Students who are picked up from lessons 10 minutes or more late will be charged a late pick-up fee of $10 (unless arrangements have been agreed upon in advance, or if there is an emergency such as a vehicle problem).
Cancellation and make-up policies: Please notify me at least 3 hours ahead of time if you need to reschedule a lesson. If a student is 15 minutes or more late for a lesson, it is considered a non-refundable no show. Failure to cancel a lesson is considered a no show and a make-up lesson is not offered.
Sickness policy: In order to protect the health of fellow students, if a student is too sick to go to school, please reschedule the lesson. If there are other children in the house with a contagious sickness, such as strep throat or head lice, please contact me ahead of the lesson time so we can evaluate whether to hold the lesson. This protects all of the other students who receive instruction from us.
Parent attendance: Parent attendance is welcomed, but not required. Siblings and friends may not attend lessons. This is for the benefit of the student. No exceptions please.
Lesson preparation: To maximize our learning time, students should be prepared for their lessons by having piano music and homework with them at every lesson. This will help us get started quickly and allow us to get the most teaching time out of our 30 minutes together. Thank you for adhering to this policy, I look forward to teaching your child.
