Piano lessons should be fun and engaging! Students should want to come to lessons -- not dread them. I work hard to keep my students motivated while they develop a love of making and studying music and getting to know famous composers from all time periods.

I have developed a piano curriculum for children ages four and older that focuses on learning to read music and developing proper articulation and tone. The curriculum is flexible, and enables me to tailor the lessons to fit the learning style of each individual child. We set clear goals together and use music that the students want to play. 

As a musician and music educator in Texas, I also utilize and implement objectives in our lessons and events which are aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Fine Arts (TEKS) for all grade levels. This enables me to support our students not only in their personal goals but in those objectives established for Texas public schools.
